Descripción
Sumario:Characteristic parameters of meteorological, oceanographical, chemical and biological aspects are analyzed, with the purpose of observing in an integrated form, the meteorological effects in the productivity of the Panama Bight. Large seasonal variations are observed in all the analized parameters, making of this area an appropriate place of this study. The intertropical convergence zone position looks to be the main limiting meteorological factor in the biological productivity of the area. Using as a first approximation a multiplicative model, where radiative, thermodynamic and dynamic factors are considered, good results of simulation are obtained.
