Sumario:This article deals with the circulation of ideas within the Hispanic Empire in the 18th century. It analyzes the production conditions in Mexico of the work of the Jesuit from New Spain Juan Martínez de la Parra, Luz de verdades católicas, and its later diffusion in the historical heart of the Empire. Following the specific case of the novohispano, the objective of the text is to question the intellectual configuration of the Empire in favor of a polycentric reading.
