Descripción
Sumario:Many monuments of Mexican and foreign heroes were erected as part of the festivities to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Mexico’s independence. These works of art are hugely valuable sources for studying how historical memory is shaped. The civic events that enveloped  their erection can be analyzed from different viewpoints and forecast the disintegration of one of the most polemic regimes in our history, which gave place to a deeply rooted revolutionary movement.
