Description
Summary:The problem of the determination of seismic epicenters is rather complex. The theory of the propagation of elastic waves in an Earth with various discontinuities has been known for many years, and discussed by authors like Wiechert, Zoepprilz, Jeffreys, Bullen, Gutenberg and others. In practice, particular cases appear, in special when it is necessary to deal with earthquakes of domestic or near origin associated with local discontinuities and other regional geological accidents.
