Descrição
Resumo:The aim of this research is to contribute to the revaluation of the worldview of the indigenous Mixtec Ñuu Savi town and the community knowledge on sugarcane cultivation and elaboration of artisan panela in the rural community of Rancho Ocoapa, municipality of Ayutla de los Libres, from the Costa Chica region of the State of Guerrero. The research methodology used was qualitative and quantitative, considered as a mixed approach. For the inhabitants of the community the category worldview is alien and its meaning is unknown. The worldview, in Tu’un Savi Mixtec language, is called “SakúÑeeYooNuuÑuu”; this means everything that is lived, everything there is, that is felt, that exists and is practiced in the community; terms that are inclusive, because include beliefs (Ñeeka´an te ivi), customs (Ñeexaa te iví), traditions (vícó ñee yoo nuñuu), knowledge of nature, the divine, the spiritual, the underworld and the supernatural that are observed in the sugarcane cultivation and in practices of the inhabitants. The study shows that sugarcane cultivation and elaboration of artisan panela include the community knowledge that contributes to the family economy and is part of the “SakúÑeeYooNuuÑuu” of the community, and multiple factors impact this practice.
