Sumario:The covid-19 pandemic has had consequences in all spheres of life. In academia, its effects have been seen in both teaching and research. In research, the ways of doing fieldwork and implementing methodology in the social sciences have had to be adapted. The use of technology has been indispensable to fulfill the planned activities, the use of computers and cell phones became necessary. This paper aims to systematize some of the experiences on the use of the self-applicable online survey (Google Forms) in a qualitative doctoral research, in order to reflect on the use of this digital method as a methodologically valid tool. It is concluded that the use of online surveys in social research is efficient and effective as long as they have a methodological planning.
