Descripción
Sumario:Urban voids can be spaces of opportunity to stop the growth of cities; however, they are not adequately used. Some of these sites are contaminated due to the previous dumping of hazardous materials, thus creating soil contamination; these spaces are referred to as "brownfields." This type of soil requires a remeasurement process to correct its condition and prevent any health dangers to future occupants. The aim of this text is to identify the "brownfields" in a specific area of Ciudad Juarez, in Chihuahua State (Mexico), and present a remediation option, with a view to generating benefits of urban regeneration, increased profitability, and social improvements.
