| Sumario: | With a critical and historical perspective, the text describes and analyzes El Zancudo, a newspaper of ephemeral life caricatures, which, taking advantage of the political conjuncture of the moment, was published with the specific purpose of rescuing some of the most important events of the Congress, ridiculing postures, poses, dress, way of expressing itself and ideology of the deputies of the jacobina or radical wing. Only four issues were published in late January and early February 1917, with director Pedro A. Chapa and his collaborators Marcelino Dávalos, Rafael de los Ríos and Alfonso Cravioto, all constituent members of the conservative wing, with extensive journalistic experience and defenders of the reformist project of the First Chief and in charge of the Executive Power. |
