Descripción
Sumario:[EN] During the last decades, the rise of gender studies and the new historiographical trends in the field of social studies have resulted in an important development of women's studies. Under this general premise, which is especially significant regarding the female voices of the colonial archive, we propose an approach to the vicereines' symbolic capital at New Spain's court, from the perspective of their trousseaus and of the circulation of images and goods during their journey, taking Doña Juana de la Cerda y Aragón , X Duchess of Alburquerque, as a case study.
