| Summary: | Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive form of breast carcinoma characterized by the absence of estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors, and HER2 receptors. These tumors are fast-growing and have a higher recurrence rate and worse prognosis compared to other breast cancer subtypes. It is noteworthy that around 45% of TNBC patients develop metastasis. Chemotherapy is the primary therapeutic strategy for this disease. However, it shows significant limitations due to their high toxicity.
