Descripción
Sumario:This thesis analyses the collaborative networks generated by independent creators of audio drama in podcasting and the role that collaboration plays not only in their identity as creators, but also in the professionalization and informality of the podcasting industry, considering the community as a “community of practice”. To this end, a mixed methodology was used, employing the following research techniques: surveys of creators and listeners, analysis of large databases, and semi-structured interviews with independent creators. Among the most important results of the thesis are: 1) a timeline of the history of podcasting is proposed; 2) the collaborative practices of creators in informal and formal spaces, thus showing collaboration as a central axis in the production of audio dramas, the identity of the creator, and the community; 3) a theoretical model that establishes the spectrum of informality and professionalization within the media, which is based on the financial impact on creators.
