Descripción
Sumario:Fortunato Depero was a multifaceted artist who investigated most ar tistic and literary disciplines from his Futurist militancy. With the aim of reconstructing the world under the principles of the avant-garde, furniture was one more of his programmes of action that would evolve from furniture and free-standing decorative objects to integral decorative complexes. Start ing from the various stages of the Casa d’Arte Futurista Depero, his applied arts workshop in Rovereto - with episodic branches in Milan, Paris and New York – furniture would become increasingly important through a series of interventions with Trentini craftsmen and companies in which they produced pieces with Futurist and Tyrolean influences. In his last stage, he would turn into one of the pioneers in the use of buxus, an autarchic product for wood decoration, which he would implement in furniture and decorative objects.
