Description
Summary:The data set contains two ahapefiles with their associated data: one corresponding to the 5 km² area created around the current location of Pirro Nord 13 site (Pirro Nord quarry, Apricena, southern Italy), and the other corresponding to the Occupied Distribution Areas (ODA) of the amphibians and reptiles species present in the Early Pliocene site of Pirro Nord 13. The ODAs were calculated by excluding the areas exceeding maximum altitudinal limit for all species in the assemblage (i.e., 1200 m). Both shapefiles are projected in the WGS 84 geographic coordinate reference system. The climatic and palaeoclimatic parameters presented in the associated publication were derived from these files.
