Complexes 1a and 2a have been used as precursors in the synthesis of Ti-M (M = d6 or d8 metal) heteronuclear complexes showing different co-ordination modes. All compounds have been characterised by elemental analysis and 1H, 31P, 19F and 13C NMR and infrared spectroscopy.
