| Sumario: | The article aims to show the continuities and changes in the internal organization of the Mojo native society from the Bolivian Amazon at the end of the nineteenth century. The analysis of the cross-reference census data with cadastres, taxpayers registers and land property applications allows to enquire into the impact that liberal policies entailed among them. This study asserts that far from being a homogeneous group, whose incorporation into the Republican society entailed the same vicissitudes, a great social, occupational and patrimonial heterogeneity was hiding under the term “indigenous”. |
