A previous attempt to restore the stela by Sethe in 1906 turned out to be inaccurate since it was mainly based on the textual contents of the inscription. The current restoration, however, has considered not only the text of the biographical inscription, but above all, the variegated physical features of the fragments (around 150 total) and the remains in situ. Besides its virtual reconstruction, details about the physical restoration of the inscription on its original tomb wall are described.
