P. blennoides appeared in 82% of the trawls carried out, throughout the whole bathymetric gradient explored, although the values of maximum abundance and biomass were obtained between a depth of 200 and 400 m. A progressive increase was observed for mean size with depth, due to the distinct bathymetric distribution of the small and large sized specimens. The following of length frequency distributions by cruise showed a recruitment to the bottom of small specimens (3-8 cm TL) in winter. The modal progression analysis of this juvenile phase showed a rapid growth, with a length increase around 1 cm per month.[ES] Se analiza la abundancia y la distribución batimétrica de Phycis blennoides, a partir del resultado de 99 pescas de arrastre de fondo realizadas entre 202 y 1293 m de profundidad en el talud del Mediterráneo noroccidental. P. blennoides apareció en el 82% de las pescas efectuadas, a lo largo de todo el gradiente batimétrico prospectado, si bien los valores de máxima abundancia y biomasa se obtuvieron entre 200 y 400 m de profundidad. Se observó un aumento progresivo de la talla media con la profundidad, debido a la distinta distribución batimétrica de los ejemplares de pequeño y gran tamaño. Con el seguimiento de las distribuciones de tallas obtenidas en cada campaña se observó un reclutamiento al fondo de ejemplares de pequeño tamaño (3-8 cm TL) en invierno.
