Magnetic behavior of Pr1-xCaxMnO3 in the electric-field-driven insulator-metal transition

| Sumario: | The magnetization through an electric-field-driven transition from a charge ordered state to a conducting one in polycrystalline Pr1−xCaxMnO3, with x=1/3 and 0.4, have been measured, simultaneously with current-voltage characteristics. These measurements have been performed at several temperatures and magnetic fields in the ranges 20–40 K and 0–3.5 T, respectively. A significant increase in the magnetization, observed at the transition, fits in with a two phase model of insulator-metal transition in this system. |
