| Sumario: | The sodium in 24H urine is the standard to quantify the intake. The objective is to develop a method to stimate using isolated urine sample, analyze the reliability, concordance and clinical utility. Observational, cross-sectional and randomized study in hypertensive patients. Multiple linear regression was used for predictive model, Akaike criterion, parsimony and hierarchical principle. CCI, Bland-Altman charts, Kaplan-Meier, sensitivity, specificity, predictive values are reported and the equation was validated. We analyzed 374 samples. The highest sodium consumption was associated with age, weight and sex (p: 0.001). The predictive model includes sodium IU, creatinine IU, age, sex and weight. Coefficient R2: 0.49, CCI agreement 0.48, concordance 0.54, difference >50 mEq/day 25.8%, sensitivity >100 mEq/day 82.8%, specificity >150 mEq/day 96.4%, PPV 86, 4% and ABC 0.89 and 0.83. Sodium consumption is high, especially in young, male and overweight. The chosen model is reproducible, has good concordance, validity, reliability and clinical utility |
