Resumo:Training courses can advertise about the benefits of food craft production showing how able to articulate a local development strategy they are. The case of Ossera village, at La Vansa-Tuixent valley (Alt Urgell County, in the Catalan Pyrenees) is a paradigmatic example of the transformation of a remote village to a real benchmark of crafted food production. The study shows how starting from a quality mark there is a new field of local development possibilities, among them those which use urban planning. The food workshops are an example of self-employment solutions that can set population and create as well a tourist and heritage product. Currently, unlike during eighties decade, when artisans arrived, this business have a value in the market. In the new context of rural-urban relations and the small job supply, workshops continuity presents good outlook.
