Descripción
Sumario:This work summarises and comments on the linguistic normalisation model implemented in the autonomous community of the Basque Country in the last forty years. Since the declaration of the Basque language as an official language alongside Spanish, a system of linguistic separation has been set in motion, recognising equal linguistic rights between the two official languages. This model has resulted in significant advances, although it has also given rise to questions for reflection from the point of view of a future Basque society which is progressing towards higher levels of linguistic integration.
