| Sumario: | [EN] From his beginnings the photography has been the great one allied of the architects, this union has come to the present day. From being only one diffusive of the works of the architects to forming a part of articles of major artistic content, the relation between both disciplines has been evolving. In spite of this, the study of the photography of Architecture of the Modern Movement in general and in Spain especially it is still in his beginnings. Only some big national photographers have managed to stand out of the rest and to assume certain national relevancy. Catalá Rock, Kindel, Bulging, Michaelis would be some of these recognized figures on which there exist monographs and considerable and extensive study. In case of Valencia the investigation of the photography of architecture of the Modern Movement from the point of view of the architect is even less studied. It surprises as being Valencia one of the precursor cities in the introduction of the photography in Spain clear photographic modals do not exist at the level of the mentioned ones. Maybe did not they exist? Or simply still have not they revealed themselves in this facet? This doctoral thesis will try to answer to these questions and to contribute his small grain of sand in this one subject matter, and with the obliged modesty it will try to open new fields of investigation future doctors who complete it. This way, there will gather and analyze photographies of architecture of the Modern Movement of the city of Valencia understood between 1925 and 1965. Some of these photographies are deposited in institutional files, still unexplored, and different in individuals' collections. It will be an aim of the thesis to put them in value, to analyze the architecture that they represent and somehow to avoid his loss. The systematic analysis of all of them in relation with the principal values of the architecture of the Modern Movement will be the used methodology. A scientific point of view uses on certain instantaneous that catalogued as " industrial photography " sometimes have been despised like lacking in enclosed art by the photographs. To realize a calm rereading of the same ones 60 years later, it allows to see with perspective the excellent, sometimes intuitive realized work. Of between all the works of the Modern Movement in Valencia, the thesis will centre fundamentally on the 8 that the own DOCOMOMO indicates as keys in the development of the Valencian modernity. Works of the photography studios, Desfilis or Sanchis will be some of the analyzed ones, we hope to put in value his work in the national panorama. |
