Sumario:The main goal of this project is the application of a quality standard in software development over the LCFIB work processes. The first step has been the study of the current quality standards and the study of the Organitzacional process of the LCFIB. Once both studies have been the CMMI model has been selected and a comparison between the selected proposal and the LCFIB work processes has been made. The CMMI continuous representation has been selected to integrate this model in the LCFIB work processes. The focus of the study has been on the engineering and project management areas for a first application of the model in the organization. The goal has been to apply all specific practices in process areas involved on the engineering and project management areas with a capability level equal or lower than 3. To do this, a proposal of improvement has been developed. This proposal has been applied over a project developed at the LCFIB. The majority of practices have been applied although not all of them for time reasons. The part of the proposal applied has been analyzed and evaluated using some defined metrics. Conclusions have been obtained from this application. Finally some future works to complete the application of the CMMI model have been identified.
