Descrição
Resumo:[EN]Based on the study of the horrea architectural remains, this paper analyses some possible horrea representations (barns and store storehouses) in Roman mosaics. Thanks to these mosaics we know how these buildings may have looked like. Our study analyses the different types of horrea represented in the Roman mosaics, some constructive techniques (cancelli) unknown to archaeology, and questions certain rooms located in the horrea that were considered to be sacred, suggesting they should more likely have been watchtowers.
