Descrição
Resumo:This paper reviews the terms included in the Diccionario crítico etimológico castellano e hispánico, by Joan Coromines and José Antonio Pascual, recently released in electronic format and the history of the Spanish derivative adjectives formed with Romance suffix -udo. To make this study, we have built a database with 188 records, most derivative -udo denominai adjectives, but they have being also collected other words ending in -udo because they are interesting to highlight the features and content of the e-DECH. Hispanic and Romance literature on the history of the suffix is reviewed, the presence of the terms in other dictionaries is analyzed and some conclusions about the history of these derivatives are presented.
