Resumo:Psychological variables play a crucial role in athletic performance, with Clutch and Flow gaining prominence in recent years. However, there are no assessment tools adapted to the Colombian context. This study aimed to examine the validity and reliability of the Flow State Short Scale (FSSS) and the Clutch State Scale (CSS) (Sánchez et al., 2023) among Colombian athletes. An instrumental study was conducted, including a pilot test (24 participants), data collection from 333 athletes, and confirmatory factor analyses using the original factorial structure of both scales. Results showed high goodness-of-fit indices and low error indices for Clutch (CFI = 0.998, TLI = 0.996, RMSE = 0.084, SRMR = 0.012) and Flow (CFI = 0.999, TLI = 0.999, RMSE = 0.068, SRMR = 0.028), significant correlations between both scales and sport motivation measures, and high reliability coefficients (> 0.8). These findings support the FSSS and CSS as valid and reliable tools for evaluation in Colombian athletes
