In this article, we propose to explore Le Corbusier's interest in displaying sculpture in a number of exhibition pavilions he designed, in some of his collectors' interiors and gardens, and in his museum projects. The architect was not indifferent to the relationship between sculpture and space, to the nature of the pedestal, nor did he neglect the notions of viewpoints and dialogue between art and the visitor. Le Corbusier often chose specific sculptors, cubists and purists (in particular Jacques Lipchitz, Henri Laurens and, of course, his own creations from the 1940s onwards) and displayed them in an unconventional way in the interior, for example on the corner of a wall and high up, breaking with bourgeois practice but also with the habits of the architects and designers of the so-called Art Deco period.

En este artículo, exploramos el interés de Le Corbusier por la escultura en ciertos pabellones de exposiciones que diseñó, así como en algunos interiores y jardines de sus coleccionistas y en sus proyectos museísticos. El arquitecto no fue indiferente a la relación entre la escultura y el espacio, a la naturaleza de los pedestales ni descuidó las nociones de puntos de vista y conversaciones entre el arte y el visitante. Le Corbusier a menudo eligió exponer a determinados escultores, cubistas y puristas (en particular obras de Jacques Lipchitz, Henri Laurens y, por supuesto, sus propias creaciones a partir de los años cuarenta), colocándolas de forma poco convencional en el espacio doméstico: en la esquina de una pared y en alto, por ejemplo, rompiendo con la práctica burguesa, pero también con los hábitos de los arquitectos y diseñadores del llamado periodo Art Déco.[FR] La sculpture a joué un rôle notable dans la pensée architecturale de Le Corbusier mais l a aussi intéressé au titre d artiste et de collectionneur. Dans cet article, nous proposons d ouvrir quelques pistes de réflexion concernant l intérêt que Le Corbusier a porté à la mise en valeur de la sculpture dans certains pavillons d exposition de sa conception, dans quelques intérieurs et jardins de collectionneurs, mais aussi dans ses projets de musées. L architecte n est pas indifférent à la relation entretenue par la sculpture et l espace, à la nature des socles, pas plus qu il ne délaisse les notions de points de vue et de dialogue entre l art et le visiteur.
