The model estimation, using structural equation modelling and data from 220 Spanish online buyers of travels, suggests that technologically ready customers are more prone to be persuaded by others’ opinions, perceive more control and have greater intentions to purchase a travel by mobile phone. In contrast, consumers’ technology readiness does not appear to improve their attitudes toward mobile phone advertising. This technology readiness construct partially extends the Theory of Planned Behavior and constitutes a primary determinant of consumers’ intentions to purchase travel services through mobile phones. The authors thank the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, Spain for its support of thisresearch through the project ECO2014-53060-R.Routledge202420242021info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10259/9768reponame:Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Burgos (RIUBU)instname:Universidad de Burgos (UBU)InglésThe Service Industries Journal. 2021, V. 41, n. 9-10, p. 648–670https://doi.org/10.1080/02642069.2018.1492561info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/MINECO//ECO2014-53060-RAtribución-NoComercial 4.0 Internacionalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:riubu.ubu.es:10259/97682026-05-28T07:56:11Z
