Descrição
Resumo:A prototype is presented featuring accessible and non-accessible web elements, formalized within a dynamic web context. The outcome is a system that empathetically communicates the impact of accessibility barriers on users with disabilities. The system aims to convey messages through the perspective of people with disabilities so that prosumer users—those who produce and consume web content—foster an understanding of the necessity to integrate accessibility features into their web content. This work is an initial proposal about understanding web accessibility guidelines beyond the WCAG documentation, to show non-technical users an understanding of web access barriers from an empathetic perspective and investigates the accessible user experience. It is crucial to note that achieving web accessibility involves not only complying with WCAG guidelines, but also considering various aspects to ensure people with disabilities have an accessible user experience on the web.
