A taxonomic revision of the genus Ornithacris based on the internat morphology of male genitalia (Acrididae Cyrtacanthacridinae).

The genus Ornithacris UVAROV is revised using internal male genitalia morphology. O. cavroisi is recognized as a good species for the first time. O. magnifica is reduced to a subspecies of O. pictula. Hind wing colouration is shown to be unreliable as a specific character.
