Sumario:The late 19th century witnessed profound transformations in the artistic, literary, and socialspheres, which have long been studied through the male perspective. Through a detailedanalysis of a selection of short stories by Ella D'Arcy, this thesis emphasizes the complex blendof stylistic choices and purposes of women's writings of the fin-de-siècle, and their negotiationof traditional literary boundaries which establishes a distinct literary identity.
