Sumario:[EN] This article analyses the impact that the Spanish Liberalism promoted by the Courts of Cádiz have in the transformation of the political culture in the Peruvian viceroyalty. The «fidelista» juncture (1808-1810) has a special attention as a key antecedent of the politization of the po pulation. The author highlights the stage linked with the Courts of Cádiz (1810-1814) as a key moment in the political innovation. The Absolutist Restoration (1814-1820) partially succeeded in eradicating the Spanish Liberalism. Finally, this article discusses the independentist juncture
