| Sumario: | In October 1967, Josemaría Escrivá pronounced the homily <i>Passionately Loving the World</i> at the campus of the University of Navarra. At the same time, an interview with him was published in the <i>Gaceta Universitaria</i> magazine. This article analyzes the historical context of the homily and the interview, as well as the situation of the Spanish universities in the decade of 1960. It was an era of development for the University of Navarra, while, Spain was concurrently under a confessional dictatorship and the University became a catalyzer thanks to which the achievement of freedom was speeded up. |
