El cornezuelo del centeno (II): brujería, medicina y contenido en alcaloides.
A review of the fungus Claviceps purpurea, known in Spain with the common name of “cornezuelo del centeno” is given. The history of how the ergotism could affect some cases of witchcraft is provided and the content of sclerotium alkaloids and their use in medicine is commented.
