| Sumario: | Data of stream macroinvertebrate communities of the task 1.2 of the project Rivstress (PID2020-115708RB-C21). The data was collected in an experiment conducted in three Catalan rivers: Arbúcies, Llémena and Riera Major. Artificial substrates (bricks) were placed into the rivers to study freshwater macroinvertebrates. The bricks were exposed to two intensities of drying (pulse: short and intermittent; press: prolonged drying) and, finally, to the effluent of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), to study the impact of both stressors on the taxonomic and functional structure of macroinvertebrate communities. See Pinilla-Rosa et al. (in press) for more detailed information. The data format allows to recreate every result presented in Pinilla-Rosa et al. (in press). Four files present the data of taxonomic richness, abundance, biomass, functional richness and functional dissimilarity used to conduct Generalized Lineal Models (GLMs). The rest of the files present the community matrices used to conduct different community analyses (Coverage, NMDS, PERMANOVA, beta diversity, IndVal and CWMs) for each river. Biomass is expressed as AFDM (mg) of macroinvertebrates. Functional dissimilarity is expressed using the Rao index (ranged between 0: no dissimilarity, and 1: total dissimilarity). In addition, supporting files are included for concrete analysis such as the defined treatments for PERMANOVAs and the legend of CWM categories. |
