| Sumario: | [EN]The way both Iberian countries lived in a state of political, social and cultural disenchantment in the middle of the 20th century deeply affected the theatre written in those decades. This article presents the comparative analysis of two plays by the Portuguese author José Régio (1901-1969) and the Spanish playwright Antonio Buero Vallejo (1916-2000), and thus identifies some of the main artistic procedures that constitute the strategies adopted then to introduce existential thought and political questioning in Iberian theatre. |
