The procedures applied were a great success among educationalists, and they became known in towns inthe community of Valencia. The referred system, although generally rejected, due to changes in government guidelines, rules similar to those employed, is still applied in some private education centres. The use of movable type from printing presses helps development and intellectual capacity,not only in young people of school-age, but also in adults. Recently there have been artists who display an interest in typographic techniques.[ES] Importancia del conocimiento y aplicación de la tipografía, con tipos móviles, en la educación de la infancia en edad escolar. Uno de los métodos empleados por pedagogos implicados en los procedimientos de la Escuela Moderna, siguiendo las referencias Célestin Freinet. Los procedimientos aplicados tuvieron amplio arraigo entre los docentes, siendo conocida la disciplina en pueblos de la Comunidad Valenciana. El referido sistema, aunque se desestimó de forma general, por cambio de directrices gubernamentales, normas semejantes a las empleadas, se siguen aplicando en algunos centros privados de educación. El empleo de tipos móviles de imprenta, ayuda al desarrollo y capacidad intelectual, no tan sólo de los jóvenes en edad escolar sino también en personas adultas.
