Sumario:The article describes an innovation experience implemented with college students. The proposal consisted in setting a virtual instance based on virtual collaborative work. The experience was implemented in three subjects during two consecutive academic terms. 199 students participated in groups solving a task. Their interchanges were recorded in groups forums. In the final instance, each group took a face-to-face interview. Moreover, messages posted in the virtual communication channels were also analyzed, mainly those which looked for help. Besides describing the experience, the article presents the main results focusing on the perceptions and valuations expressed by students as well as the potentialities of the proposal to favour help requests
