Descripción
Sumario:Hydraulic Fracturing is a technology in petroleum engineering aiming at improving the production of oil and gas wells. Recently, with the technological success of horizontal well drilling and completion, hydraulic fracturing has become an essential part for commercially developing unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs. Petroleum engineers are interested in calculating the fracture geometry and its propagation direction. Numerical simulation of hydraulic fracturing is a time-consuming task and Model Order Reduction techniques could greatly improve the response times.
