| Sumario: | Numerous concepts have been developed to describe/nthe convergence of languages within contemporary/nmedia systems. This paper purports a theoretical/nreflection on the so-called rhetorical or semiotic/nconvergence, a specific convergence that runs parallel/nto economic and technological developments./nAfter inspecting the conceptual chaos that surrounds/nthe concept, we examine herein how languages are/ncontaminated thus generating hybrid spaces in the/nproduction of meaning. Finally, we propose a complementary/napproach based on the concept of difference/nor divergence. |
