Sumario:This dataset contains: Data file 1 (1_Varrio_streams_GHG_flux_data_020525.xlsx) with 1) floating chamber flux measurement data of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2); 2) stable isotopic data of CH4 and CO2; and 3) environmental and water quality data collected from two subarctic streams in Värriö, Northern Finland; as well as 4) the number of CH4-related gene copies and 16S gene copies in water, aquatic plant and sediment samples collected from the streams. The data was collected on 9 sampling occasions during June 2022-October 2023. Data file 2 (2_Varrio_streams_pmoA_mmoX_mcrA_sequencing_data_020525.xlsx) with the abundance of pmoA, mmoX and mcrA gene variants from sequencing data of water, aquatic plant and sediment samples collected in 2022.
