We are putting our trust in investigating, through narrative research in the form of body autobiographies and body teaching logbooks, on the body traces that affect the way in which teachers become involved in teaching and reconceptualize the term.In this paper, we identify four major areas where the teacher’s body dimension is particularly present: health and energy; emotions; communication and relationships; and the teacher´s body image. To conclude, we provide three examples of areas for further reflection which could be the result of taking into consideration the body dimension within teaching.En este artículo queremos poner de manifiesto que el cuerpo de los docentes tienen una importancia notoria para comprender la enseñanza, la escuela y la educación. Definimos la docencia como una profesión corporal y defendemos que se preste una mayor atención a la dimensión corporal de la enseñanza, de los procesos de formación del profesorado y de la investigación en dichos campos. Apostamos por indagar, por medio de investigación narrativa entre las que se encuentran las autobiografías corporales y los diarios corporales docentes, sobre las huellas corporales que afectan a la manera en la que los docentes reconceptualizan la docencia y se implican en ella.En este artículo identificamos cuatro grandes ámbitos en los que la dimensión corporal del docente están particularmente presentes: salud y energía; emociones; comunicación y relaciones; y la imagen corporal del docente.
