| Sumario: | [EN] Colour and ergonomics are united in the design of the work posts. Colour sorrounds us in such a way that it stimulates our senses and makes our lives more interesting and different. Emotion and intuition predomitate in human being, whereas racionality is less important than we think. Colour has direct influence on blood pressure, muscles and nerves and provokes important associations in human brain. So, it can have stimulating or relaxing effects. Experts agree that colour, perhaps more than any other design element, is crucial in order to define the spirit of a space and its function, wether it is an office, a restaurant, a hospital or a living room (1). Colour is a subjective sensation and nobody can assure that he/she perceives colours in the same way as another person. The perception which someone has of the colour of the sorrounding objects depends on the light that illuminates them and on the properties that they have to reflex the light. But a working environment must be designed to have good lighting, so that the lamps which must be installed have to be suitable for the kind of task to be developped. Colour, besides being related to luminance, has influence on recognising the information, on the welfare sensation and on the appreciation that a person has of the environment. |
