Description
Summary:The purpose of this research is to determine the emotional construction of the far-right electorate, from a constructivist perspective, at different moments of political competition in Spain—specifically, in the regional elections of Andalusia in 2018, Catalonia in 2021, and Castile and León in 2022. For this purpose, research has been designed with a quantitative methodological approach based on the analysis of the results of three demographic studies carried out by the EIP-USC, in which the emotions expressed towards political parties acquire a fundamental value. The results obtained allow us to visualize the existence of an emotional regime common to VOX voters in our country, which presents different emotional architectures depending on the political moment. These architectures are shaped both by the presence of positive emotions towards their own political party and other right-wing and center-right parties, and by the notable presence of negative emotions towards left-wing and independent parties.
