Descripción
Sumario:This paper is a brief description of the Hercynian calc-alkaline granodioritic pluton of the Los Pedroches batholith at its NW branch (La Serena, Badajoz). This study is located in the National Topographic Map N.T.M. number 805 of Castuera, and it takes into account only the plutonic rocks. Three main lithotypes have been recognized through field, petrological and geochemical studies: biotiticgranodiorite±amphibole, piroxenic granodiorite and Las Cabezas granite. Whole chemistry defines a potassium-rich, aluminic-cafemic calcalkaline magmatic association
