Los asuntos bélicos no solo centraron la atención en el campo de batalla, sino que también la trasla daron a lo que se conoce como literatura militante o guerra de papeles. Uno de los objetivos de esta literatura era la propaganda política. En las filas catalanas, es perentoria la defensa del acuerdo catalanofrancés, para lo que fue muy impor tante la intervención de varios eclesiásticos que, en impresos panfletarios y decla maciones de sermones, hicieron que se oyera su voz. En esta comunicación nos centraremos en dos prédicas inéditas del jesuita Jaume Puig, un personaje del que tenemos muy pocos datos biográficos pero que se avecina central en la Barcelona de mediados del siglo xvii. Ambos sermones tratan la muerte de Luis XIII, pero se pronunciaron en contextos diferentes: uno en Barcelona, imprimido en catalán, y el otro en Lleida, publicado en castellano.The War of the Segadors (1640-1652), which pitted the Catalans and French against the Castilians, is one of the most important disputes that took place in modern Catalonia and with great relevance for Spain and Europe. War affairs not only focused attention on the battlefield, but also on to what is known as militant literature or paper warfare. One of the objectives of this literature was political propaganda. In the Catalan ranks, the defense of the Catalan-French agreement is peremptory, for which the intervention of several ecclesiastics was very impor tant and who, through printed pamphlets and sermon declamations, made their voices heard. In this communication we will focus on two unpublished sermons by the Jesuit Jaume Puig, a character about whom we have very little biographical data but who would become central in Barcelona in the mid-17th century.
