| Sumario: | In the current business scenario, digital transformation has become a determining factor for the competitiveness and sustainable growth of companies in various fields. The brewing industry is undergoing significant changes in its operations thanks to the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) in its processes. This technology is key for the brewing sector as it enables real-time monitoring of production, supply chain management, and product quality improvement. However, the rapid growth of IoT has also posed challenges in terms of cybersecurity. As companies embrace the concept of digital transformation and delve into the digitization of their processes, vulnerabilities and cyber threats that could jeopardize the integrity of information and business assets increase. It is important to understand that cybersecurity should be a central element in any digital transformation strategy, especially in competitive sectors with highly sensitive and confidential information. Protecting the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of data and systems is essential to prevent cyber-attacks, information theft, or disruptions to production processes. In general terms, this work highlights the importance of cybersecurity as a critical component in the digital transformation of the brewing sector. In this study, the current IoT devices of a brewing company have been identified, and an assessment and proposed improvement action plan on the current technological infrastructure have been carried out, taking into account the potential computer risks they may be exposed to, in order to ensure their competitiveness and avoid negative consequences that could impact their reputation and business continuity. Additionally, the cost of eliminating an entire batch of products unfit for commercialization due to a cyber-attack on their control and monitoring elements has been quantified. |
