Descripción
Sumario:[EN] Among the results of the research carried out by the Standardization Department at Stroikom in the former USSR, we find the so-called F-type, which became a reference for modern residential architecture. Its distinctive 3-2 section, materialized in the "Narkomfin" building (Moscow, 1928-1930), represents an important contribution to the spatial possibilities of collective housing and has been a model for a large number of subsequent projects. Among all of them, the case of the "La Nao" apartments (Jávea, 1962-1966) by Santiago Artal is particularly interesting for its comparison with the Moscow building, as it is a little-known and little-studied work. This building is the continuation of the endeavor the Valencian architect began with his first work on "Santa María Micaela". Based on the analysis and the redrawing of the dwellings, and despite being two works with very different scales and urban contexts, we will try to carry out a comparative study that will allow us to highlight Artal¿s work within the architectural context of the early 1960s.
