Sumario:A new mononuclear iron(II) SCO compound featuring H-bonding donor and acceptor units has been synthesized and exploited to produce a purely supramolecular switchable [Fe4] tetrahedron. Magnetic and crystallographic measurements evidence a singular magnetic behavior for each of the four Fe(II) centers of the generated architecture and underscore the potential of this strategy to develop novel SCO materials.
