Descripción
Sumario:Housing not only fulfills a function of basic shelter, but also social. Lacking housing or not having sufficient resources to maintain it puts the person in a situation that affects both it and the so¬cial network itself. This paper approaches the phenomenon of residential exclusion, explaining first the historical, social and political factors that have marked the housing market in Spain and the outbreak of the so-called real estate bubble. It also offers a conceptualization of the phenomenon and an approach to several groups prone to residential exclusion. The ultimate objective is to offer an overview of this aspect of exclusion and possible lines of action to tackle it.
